TCHT completed its second building project; three purpose built, fully accessible, four bedroom dwellings, each on its own title in Danny Place.

Healthy Homes Project commenced after the  Ministry of Health new innovation scheme focusing on ' reducing rheumatic fever'.

February 2009

Friendly Landlord Project (FLP) a pilot project (funded by BOP District Health Board) commenced. FLP focused on supporting people with a  serious mental illness into secure, sustainable housing.

May 2006

TCHT completed work on the first housing project - 'the Merivale Project.' The building of 2 adjacent properties on Fraser Street. They were purpose built for the Trusts needs.

December 2016
Sale and Purchase agreement with Classic Builders for an innovative housing solution for Tauranga - 14 one bedroom units in a special housing accord development. Tenants moving in week prior Christmas.

September 2010

TCHT produced a short DVD highlighting housing needs and outlining TCHT work. The DVD was well received and was viewed at the police Charity Luncheon where TCHT was the very fortunate recipient of a substantial grant (87,000).

December 2005

TCHT were involved in a collaborative research project. The research examined current and future housing needs of disabled people in the BOP and Lakes regions.

December 2003

CCS Disability Action BOP initiated and resourced a Housing Project to investigate the housing needs, gaps and potential solutions for disabled people and their families. Trust Formally Established.

April 2014
TCHT became a registered social housing provider. .

December 2011

By years end there were 127 people on the TCHT 'books' and staff were overseeing 50 plus tenancies. Notable trends were the increase in young and older people being referred.

March 2004

The Housing Facilitation Service (HFS) was established and 25 people (with a disabled person in the household) were supported into suitable housing.

June 2013
$1.7m grant from SHU for 14 unit Clarke St development.
